Reaction Bar Background & User Name Colour

Looking for guidance.

1. How do I change the colour of the username associated with the reaction ? As can be seen in the above next to HaHa reaction, its a very light grey and not clear to the eye because of the phpBB style board colour until you hover a cursor over it.

2. The cBB Reactions demo has the reaction bar with a white background, fresh install of the app files displays black. Where can I make changes so this becomes white, or perhaps even has a transparent background ?

Not sure whether my phpBB style may have any relevance, but it is the Pro Ubuntu Lucid.

The background is set automatically because it recognizes that style as a dark style.
I'm going to try that style to see how to improve it.
