That seems a little... weird?

I can't follow myself which seems even more obvious, but is there maybe a use case for mentioning oneself?

I really don't think so, although it didn't occur to me to limit it either.
I might do so in the next version.

I guess it could serve as something to "pin" a post in your own Wall? Not sure, it seemed a little odd. Could be an optional thing for UCP though (I like options).

Speaking of, maybe consider an option for people that don't wish to be followed? I already had a response from someone feeling a little watched, which is kinda new for a forum so I get it.

It may be a matter of replacing "follow" with "subscribe", which is closer to the usual phpBB terminology for forums and topics.
