Hi

I need to wait for more stable version of phpBB 3.1 but, if the extension system no have changes, some of my mods aren't compatible with the extension system and their developer rules.

For now I have to wait for the phpbb team make the rules for developing extensions.
If they continue with the plan of not allowing extensions that need to make changes to the files and styles for phpBB, my mods will not be compatible and may not be on phpbb.com.
Anyway, I do not want to leave users without the ability to use my mods so I probably will make extensions and if they can not be on phpbb.com, I will put them on this website and only be downloaded from here.

I'm not developer or coder, but I believe that there will be events in code and MODs (extensions) authors can request events on places where they need them.

Topic about porting MODs to extensions.

Yes, but the events no solve the major problems.
for example, cBB Blockgets needs the styles changes to work inside the forum. Its not possible do it with events.
The events in core and styles deletes some changes but not all.

It would be great if you could write about the problems to area51 forum. I really would like to know what developers say about it. Your MODs are great and if the problems are unsolvable they could change the rules for extensions.

From one of developers:

From: nickvergessen
To: Darkness_demoN
People need to post their event requests to a forum https://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=111
We will then implement them to allow most of them to work

Nothing much we can do about

I know the event request but, some problems don't solve with the events (its impossible)
So, The only solution is that they allow the editionsin the phpBB files (core and styles)
I'll wait until they publish the rules for developers in phpBB 3.1 because at the moment it is not known what insurance is permitted and what is not.
